JUNEAU AIRPORT SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT FACILITY (2009)
Client:   City and Borough of Juneau
Services Provided:  Sub-consultant for project mechanical design, project is currently at schematic design level.  Mechanical systems included a ground source heating and cooling system with vertical borehole loopfield, variable speed geothermal fluid circulation systems, zoned heat pumps supplying heating and cooling air, specialty exhaust systems for equipment service areas, direct digital controls, and plumbing and sprinkler systems. Ground source horizontal loopfield system was included in schematic design documents.

JUNEAU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT EXPANSION (2009)
Client: City and Borough of Juneau
Services Provided:  Sub-consultant for project mechanical design, contract documents, construction services, and inspections of mechanical systems for additions and modifications to Juneau Airport.  Project includes multi phased renovation to commercial portion of the airport.  Mechanical features include a ground source heating and cooling system with vertical borehole loopfield, variable speed geothermal fluid circulation systems, zoned heat pumps supplying heating and cooling air, sidewalk snowmelt system from geothermal heat pumps, conversion of pneumatic controls to direct digital controls, and modifications to plumbing and sprinkler systems.






DIMOND PARK AQUATIC CENTER, JUNEAU (2009)
Client:  City and Borough of Juneau
Services Provided:  Sub-consultant for project mechanical engineering design and construction services.  Mechanical systems included ground source heating and cooling systems with vertical borehole loop fields and manifolded geothermal variable speed piping, back-up electric hydronic boiler, heat recovery ventilation for diversity of heating, ventilation and humidity control, radiant floor heating for locker room and office areas, domestic plumbing, exhaust fans for mechanical rooms, wet sprinkler system, and a direct digital control system.







AEL&P CONSOLIDATED OPERATIONS CENTER, JUNEAU (1996)
Client: Alaska Electric Light & Power
Services Provided: Mechanical construction documents and construction services for a design-build project for an office and administration building to be heated and cooled by geothermal means. System includes utilizing individually zoned ground source heat pumps for providing heat to the ventilation, radiant slab heating, and domestic hot water systems. Exhaust air systems were incorporated into an air-to-air heat recovery system to capture waste heat and transfer it to outside air introduced to the building.   This project also includes a building automation system with detailed energy monitoring features.  Mechanical Engineering services included initial performance analysis, specifications and guidelines, design-build documents, construction services, adjustment of mechanical systems, and commissioning.
